We had a great time at our 'Veg in the Park' event in St Mary's Park last Sunday morning. There were lots of visitors, including some who mucked in and helped with the harvesting. It's lovely how many people come and tell us that they keep an eye on the beds and how pleased they are to see the veg thriving in such a busy park. It gives us a boost to hear that and makes us feel the project is very much part of the community, which is how it should be (Prestwich still calls itself a 'village' and at times like that it begins to feel like one!)
